How to list a digital product in the aipatnam Store

Upload an ebook, template or preset, choose a free or eligible paid listing, set a PDF preview, and follow your product through review.

Use Digital products in the aipatnam Store when you want someone to claim or buy a file and get it in their Purchases page. A separate Your Instagram shop area is for physical-product photos and prices; buyers contact you in WhatsApp or Instagram chat to arrange those orders.

This walkthrough follows the current seller screens. A free digital product is a good first listing because it lets you test upload, review and delivery. The Paid button is visible but disabled until the account meets the paid-selling requirements; the Paid selling & payouts page explains its current status.

Get your seller page ready

  1. Sign in with your aipatnam account and open store.aipatnam.com/sell. If the Store asks you to choose a username, pick the name you want in your public Store address.
  2. On Digital products, look for Your public store page. That address collects your published digital listings.
  3. Choose + New product. The New digital product form opens with Free selected by default.

The title and description are required. Give the file a specific name people will recognize: “Beginner saree draping guide” tells a buyer more than “My PDF”. Explain what is inside, who it helps and which file type they will receive. Upload only work you have the right to share.

Choose a file and price

The file picker accepts PDF, DOC, DOCX or ZIP, up to 100 MB. Keep your original file so you can replace it later if you need to publish an updated version. The upload starts when you submit the form; wait for the progress messages to finish before leaving the page.

Leave Free selected for a free guide or sample. A visitor still signs in to claim it, so it appears under their Purchases and they can return to download it. Paid digital selling requires an active Advance plan, an approved bank and tax profile, and an open paid-selling rollout. If Paid is enabled for your account, choose it and enter a price in rupees; the form requires at least ₹1. If it is disabled, follow Check eligibility to Paid selling & payouts. Free products remain available while paid selling is being prepared or reviewed.

Set a PDF preview, cover and buyer copy

For a readable multi-page PDF, the form finds its page count and can make a free preview from the opening pages. Choose how many pages visitors may read before claiming or paying, or choose None. Check that those opening pages help someone decide without giving away the whole product. The preview is created in your browser when you submit.

The form can also make a cover from page one. You may upload a different JPG, PNG or WebP cover up to 2 MB. For DOC, DOCX and ZIP products, use a separate cover if you want the listing to have a visual. If the browser cannot read your PDF, you can still upload it, but the automatic cover and free preview will not be made.

Buyers’ copies optionWhat it means
Stamp each copyThe downloaded PDF has a small line with the buyer’s email on each page. This is the default for readable PDFs.
Stamp + passwordThe PDF is stamped and asks for the buyer’s account email as its password.
Original fileThe buyer receives the uploaded file without that added PDF protection.

These settings are for PDFs that the browser can read. They do not stop every kind of copying. The product form explains the trade-off beside each choice, and you can change the protection setting later.

Submit and follow review

Press Submit for review and wait for Uploading file, Uploading cover, Making the free preview, and Creating product as applicable. When creation finishes, the Store returns you to Digital products. A new listing normally appears as Pending review and is not public until approved.

Status on Digital productsWhat to do
Pending reviewWait for the decision; you can still open Edit to correct details.
PublishedOpen View to check the public listing, then share its address.
RejectedRead the displayed reason, fix the listing in Edit, and save to send it for review again.
UnpublishedThe public listing is hidden. Saving an edit sends it back for review.

The Store reviews each new product before publication. If upload fails, the form keeps the error on screen; check the file size and cover type, then submit again. Do not assume a product is visible to buyers until its status says Published and the public View link works.

Share, update and check orders

After publication, use View to inspect the title, cover, price, file details and any preview from a visitor’s perspective. Share the product link in your bio, a post or a DM. A published eligible product also shows Promote on Instagram, which opens an InstaDM comment campaign with that product selected; review the campaign messages before saving them.

Use Edit when you need to change a listing or replace its file. For most sellers, changing the title, description, file, cover or preview of a live listing sends it back to review and hides it until approval. A price or protection change can take effect without that content review. The edit screen tells you what will happen before you save; trusted sellers may see a different review message.

Use Unpublish when you need to remove a published product from public view. Open the seller Orders page to see paid orders and free claims, with the buyer email partly hidden. Paid selling and bank payout status are separate from order counts; read the Paid selling & payouts page for the account’s current setup.

Questions people ask

Why is Paid disabled when I create a product?

Paid digital selling needs an active Advance plan, an approved bank and tax profile, and an open rollout. Open Paid selling & payouts from Digital products to see your account’s status. You can still create free products.

Can a buyer read the whole PDF before paying?

Only if you choose to make the whole file public elsewhere. In the Store form, a free preview contains just the opening pages you select; the full file is for a confirmed claim or purchase.

Why did my updated product disappear from its public page?

For most sellers, editing live content such as the file, title, description, cover or preview sends the listing back to review. Check its status on Digital products and the message on the edit screen.

Is a digital product the same as an Instagram shop item?

No. Digital products are files delivered through Purchases. Instagram shop items are catalog pages for physical goods; the buyer contacts the seller in chat to arrange payment and delivery.

Start with one free file, check its review status, then test the buyer path from another account.
